Inspired by Uruguayan author Eduardo Galeano’s collection of short stories entitled Mujeres, Feet off the Ground shine light on a number of women’s journeys and explore female empowerment, oppression, rebellion and unity. During the research and development process, the collective worked closely with a group of local women in Nottingham whose voices and stories have directly informed the work.

Passenger is a dark, explosive piece exploring support, manipulation and control. Flitting between powerful solos and contact work, the dancers urgently try to mark their territory and find their place. Driven by the percussive and echoing accompaniment of live musician Ashley Molloy-South, Passenger makes for an exhilarating and charged work.
